Prospective Undergraduate Students:

We have reached capacity for Research Assistants for the Summer and Fall 2019 semesters. We will begin recruiting for Spring 2020 in December, 2019. Please fill out the application and email it to along with your unofficial transcript and resume.

Prospective Graduate Students:

If you are interested in applying to work with Dr. Killen in the graduate program, please email Dr. Killen at Please email the Graduate Secretary,, to request a graduate handbook and information about the application process. Our graduate program has a mentorship model, and graduate students study as apprentices with specific faculty members. Therefore, it’s important to contact faculty members directly about a match of interests between the applicant and the potential faculty mentor. Dr. Killen is in the Developmental Science area of specialization in the graduate program.

International Colleagues:

We have a Visiting Scholar’s office in our Center for Children, Relationships, and Culture. This office is available for visiting faculty and scholars for brief or extended visits. We supply access to a computer, library privileges, and university resources. We are located 25 minutes from Washington, D.C. , NIH, NSF, and many universities and institutions in the Washington/Baltimore area (George Washington, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, and UMBC).
